Flowers on old stone

July 2025. Getting ready happened in a high-up room with linen curtains and the whole city in the window: makeup, the dress on its hanger, the bride laughing before putting it on. In the car she took her bouquet of proteas and orange roses, and a rosary wrapped around her wrist.

The ceremony took place in a stone-walled space covered in orange flowers, with the groom in a navy suit. The kiss came beneath a flower arch with the sea at dusk, and the portraits ended at the green door of an old church.
