Music video
The song is already there. The picture isn't.
The Duat team directs, shoots, edits, grades and finishes the video. From the first take to the file that goes up on the channel.
Frame from the music video “Comunidade”, at 0:09.
The video
Comunidade

Two minutes and sixteen seconds shot on the street, in 4:3. A taller frame than usual, one that fits a standing person without pulling the camera back.

Frame by frame
Six frames, six decisions.
Every one of them comes from the video above, uncropped and unretouched. Each carries the minute it appears and the decision behind it.

0:14
Midday sun, no bounce
The alley frames the scene by itself and the wall on the right throws light back onto their faces. The blue and the red of the shirts are the only strong contrast in the frame, and that is where the eye goes on its own.

0:20
The blur is deliberate
Handheld camera, dragged shutter: the bodies in front turn to streaks and only the face behind stays sharp. It isn't a mistake. It's the beat of the song turned into picture.

0:26
Only the eyes
Two wooden slats narrow the shot to a slit. Showing less tightens the scene: the viewer builds the rest of the face in their head.

1:23
A documentary cut
In the middle of a video shot entirely in colour, the street comes back in grainy black and white. It works as a breath and as proof of place: nothing there was built for the camera.

1:31
Two temperatures in one frame
The arched wall leans gold, the shadow beside it goes teal, and the skin between them stays the right colour. It's the set the video comes back to at every chorus.

1:49
The colour was already there
Yellow wall, blue paint, red glove. The shot closes in on what that room already had; the rest of the work is camera height and what stays out of frame.
What the video includes
One team from script to delivery.
Directing, shooting, editing, colour and effects stay under one roof. Nobody has to rebuild the idea halfway through.
Directing and shot planning
The idea worked out with the artist: what the song asks for, where to shoot, who appears and what each scene has to say.
Shooting
The team on location on the agreed day, on the street, at a venue or in a studio, with the kit described in the proposal.
Editing and colour
Cut to the song's timing and colour handled shot by shot, like the gold arch frame above.
Effects and finishing
Titles, visual effects and the final file in the channel's format, with vertical cuts when they're part of the deal.
How it works
You send the song
Final mix or rough version, either works. Send along whatever you already picture, even if it's a single loose scene.
Proposal and planning
The team checks availability and agrees scope, locations, shooting days and deliverables with you. All of it before a camera is switched on.
The shoot
The team turns up with the plan and room for whatever the day offers. You keep the song, we keep the camera.
Edit and delivery
Cut, colour, effects and a round of notes with you. Formats and timelines are already written into the proposal.
