The house of blue arches

January 2025, a wedding on an island. The setting was a white colonial house with arched windows trimmed in blue and green doors, a brick floor and palm trees all around. The decor followed tropical flowers in red and orange, on the altar arch and on the sweets table with its clay pots.

It rained during the ceremony and nobody moved: the vows were read beneath clear umbrellas, between laughter and a tear from the bride. He wore a blue suit and a burgundy bow tie, she wore a lace gown with a V back. At night, with the lights on, the old house became the backdrop for the couple's portraits.
