November in a church of arches and stained glass

November 2025. The bride arrived in a cream and black vintage car and walked in through an arched stone doorway, into a Gothic-style church with a red carpet and a huge stained-glass window above the gilded altar. The groom waited in a white dinner jacket and bow tie, the bridesmaids wore black, and the bouquet carried autumn colours: orange, burgundy and blue.

We photographed the ceremony from the back of the nave to the vows read into the microphone, taking in the groomsmen in green ties, the page boy leaning on the pew and the carved saints of the altarpiece. On the way out, a kiss in the aisle and another through the car window.
